Guidance Counseling

Ali Kalkandelen, School Counselor

Ali Kalkandelen is both our school founder and does one-on-one counseling with students on personal and social matters. His office is located on the first floor. Mr. Kalkandelen has a master's degree in counseling from the U.S.A. Mr. Kalkandelen and his wife, who is also a counselor, have two children at IGA.


Pam Sanderlin, Guidance Counselor

Pam Sanderlin is the university guidance counselor. Her office is on the second floor. Dr. Sanderlin has a M.A. and a Ph.D. in international education/curriculum. She has taught high school students for a number of years at our school. Previously she worked as the foreign student advisor and taught ESL writing at the University of Denver; she also was an administrator and taught writing at a university in Istanbul. She is married to Pete Sanderlin, who also teaches at IGA. The Sanderlins have a daughter at IGA as well.
