DESKTOP PUBLISHING—“Yearbook” (HS)
Credit: ¼ credit
Prerequisite: Intro to Computers or working knowledge of electronic graphic design
Description: In this class students produce the school yearbook. This class requires prior experience working with digital cameras and Microsoft Publisher. Students can expect to spend a lot of time capturing the year on “film,” (digitally speaking, of course). There is not a textbook to follow, so students will learn through lecture and by hands on experience. As a class it will be essential for students to work as a team to develop a theme and to incorporate that theme into all segments of the yearbook, from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Students who are very organized and detail-oriented would be excellent additions to this class!
