Houses: Caritas, Veritas, Lumen Prudentia

At International Gateway Academy, the entire school is divided into four houses, a bit like teams. In each house there are students from every grade, kindergarten through grade 12. Also, brothers and sisters are in the same house (which makes it easier for parents when they cheer the teams on!). All year the houses compete with each other to have the most points. Points are earned through sports events and tournaments, being on the honor rolls, bulletin board contests, service projects, yellow slips (for doing something good, and for winning at Sports Day in May. The houses are:

Caritas

Caritas, Latin for brotherly love, is one of the four houses at IGA. The team colors purple and orange.

Lumen

Lumen is Latin for light, and is the second of the four houses at IGA. Team colors are black and white.

Prudentia

Prudentia is Latin for wisdom, and is the third house at IGA. The team colors are green and yellow.

Veritas

Veritas is Latin for truth, and is the fourth of the four houses at IGA. Team colors are red and blue.
